Sunday Morning

We know that visiting a church is not always easy, but we hope to make the path as simple as possible.  No matter what your perspectives on faith or your experience in faith communities may be, you matter to God and to us. We want to help you find a home where you can find strength and healing in God and utilize your unique gifts for others.

On Sunday mornings, we gather at 10:00am in the sanctuary to give our worship to God as a community of God’s people. This is the central gathering of our church. We most often practice this worship by receiving the word of God through the reading, preaching, and teaching of Scripture and by responding to God as we offer our songs, prayers, and lives as an expression of worship. At Council Tree Covenant, our hope and expectation is to be shaped by God as we grow closer to our Lord and to each other through these worship gatherings.

All ages are welcome in the sanctuary. If you have young children, we offer nursery care, preschool, and elementary classes during our worship services. These classes are staffed by fully vetted volunteers that we entrust with our own kids. You can find more information on our Early Childhood and Elementary Pages. If you would like for your kids to be a part of children’s ministries on Sunday morning, you can check your child in at the desk down the hall to the left of the main entrance, where you will be welcomed and receive further information.

A few pro tips for your visit to Council Tree:

  • On a typical Sunday morning at Council Tree, you will find some people dressed casually in jeans and a t-shirt, and some dressed formally in a dress or dress shirt. You can dress up or down to wherever your comfort level lies.

  • When you arrive, you can enter the building through any of our doors and make your way to the sanctuary, which is right inside the main entrance on the east side of the building.

  • Sit anywhere you like; there are no assigned seats.

  • Please do not feel obligated to give financially when you visit. Your presence with us is a gift in itself.

  • When you feel comfortable, we would love to meet you – we are a church that works best for people that desire to be in community with one another, so please introduce yourself and become more connected to Council Tree Covenant.
