Covenant World Mission
The Evangelical Covenant Church desires to see more disciples among more populations in a more caring and just world. In our mission partnerships around the world, we are committed to culturally relevant evangelism and the formation of communities of Christ followers, to spiritual formation and equipping God’s people for ministry and leadership, and to transformational ministries that demonstrate the whole gospel by seeking to address the spiritual, social, emotional, mental, physical, and justice needs of people.
In 2007, our church started a relationship with Ameya, a village in northern Nicaragua. The goal is:
Partner with the people of Nicaragua to Enrich Lives Holistically in the Name of Jesus Christ.…
The idea was to focus on one area of the world where we could build and maintain deep relationships. We celebrate 10+ years of working together with the people of Ameya and the Nueva Generacion Covenant Church. This relationship, led by Jane Mirandette, has blossomed into a number of wonderful projects and opportunities. In the fall of 2017 the Global Responsibility Internship Program (GRIP) was initiated to provide a gap year of deep involvement for students in our area with the people of Nicaragua.
