PH Check - July 27-August 10
Greetings Church,
I have the unique privilege to watch the Lord work at Council Tree in virtually every direction I look. Sometimes we make wise decisions and people are blessed. Sometimes we make sloppy choices that hurt each other, yet, just like Israel and the early church, God is able work it together for good. When the people of Israel came home after being held captive by Babylon, the first thing God did was wake up their imaginations to dream,
When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. Psalm 126
I am writing to ask if everyone who calls Council Tree home will take two steps to further our health as a church and open our imaginations to dream. Your church leaders believe it is time for us to hear more directly from the body concerning our current collective health through an assessment developed by our denomination. The results will be one factor contributing to our larger hope to dream together about what God may have for us now.
Step 1: Offer your personal perspective concerning our community’s health by taking the PH Check online survey. I am asking each of us to take 15ish minutes in a spirit of prayer, to reflect on ourselves and complete the 120 multiple choice questions. We have access to this assessment only from July 27th to August 10th. Further information about the PH Check here.
Step 2: Participate in our annual end of summer gathering, “The Summit” to come together on the same page understanding where we are and be encouraged to dream about what God may have for us now. Saturday August 23rd 8:30-12:30, full details here.
