Introduction to Peace Circles
Saturday, June 20th @ 9:00am
We continue our series of monthly seminars at Council Tree presented by North Park Theological Seminary faculty. June’s seminar will be presented by Kara Shroyer, Managing Editor of Lena and Seminary Administrative Coordinator.
Join us for an engaging workshop introducing the restorative justice practice of peace circle-keeping. Participants will explore how circles create spaces of trust, listening, accountability, and healing within communities and organizations. Through guided activities and reflection, you will learn the basic principles, structure, and purpose of circle processes, as well as the role of the circle keeper in fostering respectful dialogue. This workshop is ideal for leaders, students, and community members seeking practical tools for conflict transformation and relationship-building. No prior experience is needed. Come ready to listen, share, and discover how peace circles can nurture connection and repair. Attendees are encouraged to bring a small object that holds significance for them to place in the center of the circle.
