Handel’s crafted the powerful music of The Messiah around a Biblical narrative of redemption. This piece of music has been popular for 282 years. Handel did something right!

This Easter season, we would like to invite all ages to worship as we listen to parts of the Messiah together. The Messiah is divided into three parts; we’ll explore one part each week. For each part, we’ll look at the Messiah’s narrative and listen to some songs. As we listen, we’ll ask questions that prompt us to think about how the music enhances the narrative and how the narrative and music together draw us to worship – and that’s the point, to walk away with hearts of worship.

Kids will be able to relate to the basic themes, and we’ll have some questions and activities just for them. And if you’re looking for a fresh perspective on Christian faith, the Messiah presents a “beginning-to-end” view of the good news. Come and enjoy a different approach to worship.

We will have a continental breakfast each week as part of this class. All ages are welcome.

Sundays, March 3, 10, and 17 @9am
