First Church of the Second Chance

Hi y’all,
Methinks most of you know me, I’m Pete Tippett.  And most of you know that I’m an’ ol’ alkie who hasn’t had a drink since March 7, 1987. Somewhere post 3/7/87 I had a Spiritual experience that changed and revolutionized my life, I somehow stumbled into the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous. Prior to that, I was neither atheist or agnostic; I just didn’t care.

In order to become a sober contributing member of society I was taken through the 12 Steps, and my passion today is to help folks who may, or may not be struggling with obsessions of any kind gain an awareness of the therapeutic qualities of those Steps. I capitalized Steps as a subtle acknowledgement that they were divinely inspired. The founders of Alcoholics Anonymous did not have the education, knowledge or training to introduce the Steps as a design for living which have helped so many people come to a shoe leather walk with God. The First Church of the Second Chance is a vehicle to enlighten and educate people as to the efficacy of the Healing Restorative Powers they have.

On Thursday nights at 7:00 we are beginning a study of the book, The Twelve Steps for Christians and would way beyond just a cordial invite, ask you to tune into a 1-hour Zoom meeting of the First Church of the Second Chance as we delve into the amazing history and practical application of the Steps.

Peter Tippett is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

The book is available from Amazon or AbeBooks.com.
