Summer Kids Camp
Council Tree Covenant Church hosts a week-long Summer Kids Camp for children aged 3 up to 5th grade. Our summer camp is typically offered the first week of summer vacation. Older kids participate in helping out. With typically over 100 adult volunteers, about a dozen teen volunteers, and over 100 kids, our Summer Kids Camp is a multi-generational fun time!
Artrageous is the name of our Summer Kids Art Camp because we combine music, theatrics, play time, and lots of art projects. Artrageous is designed to encourage children’s creativity while helping them grow in their understanding of Jesus—all in a welcoming, hands-on, and memorable camp experience.

Down on the Farm

Each morning began in the Big Red Barn with music and a skit designed to help children discover more about Jesus and explore what it means to be a “shoop,” while learning and memorizing Psalm 23.

The remainder of each morning was devoted to two age-appropriate art workshops, giving children opportunities to explore a variety of creative mediums and skills. Some workshops included an introduction to crochet, creating custom wooden lamps, working with pastels and watercolor, and learning two-point perspective drawing.
We wrapped up the week with a special outdoor lunch and a petting zoo, giving the children one more opportunity to enjoy fellowship, celebrate the week, and experience the fun of Down on the Farm together.

“The Detection Convention: Who Dunnit?”
Our featured verse was Jeremiah 29:13. Throughout the week, children sang, danced, solved puzzles, and had fun learning about Jesus alongside some famous detectives!
Each day featured exciting hands-on art workshops where children explored different artistic techniques and created their own masterpieces. Their completed projects were proudly displayed in the Artrageous Art Gallery at the end of the week.
Some projects included birdhouse wind chimes, fingerprint art, volvelles, string art, and more.

Beyond the art studio, children made new friends, worked together to solve puzzles, planted pumpkins in the Garden, and discovered new ways to grow in their faith.
We wrapped up the week with a special lunch celebration, giving everyone an opportunity to celebrate the friendships, creativity, and memories made throughout Artrageous.
Artrageous is more than an art camp—it’s a week where faith and creativity come together, giving children the opportunity to discover, create, connect, and grow.
